'The arcs in my paintings are the visible range of the lighthouse beacons found in vintage sea charts, from the early 1900s. The shape of most of my islands are based on the line of segments of the coastline. I find beauty in the variation of line in old analogue sea charts.'
This painting/series alludes to the area outside the neatline. Neatline is a cartographic term that refers to the border where the map stops.
