Adele Campbell Fine Art Gallery in Whistler presents "Legacies" a celebration of Nancy O'Toole and Michael O'Toole's original paintings on Saturday, August 29^th, 2009.

Michelle Kirkegaard and her partner Mary Forseth are honoured to host this much anticipated show as it will be Nancy O'Toole's final exhibition.

A year ago Michelle asked Nancy if she would be available for an artist show. Nancy hesitated to commit as the pressure and work for a show is beyond the daily discipline of painting. Nancy agreed but, it was at that time she announced this would be her last show. "I will continue painting but I need to retire somehow" Nancy explained, "the added pressure and commitment to complete a large body of work for an exhibition is quite exhausting".

Nancy will share her memories and experiences in the art world throughout her career during the evening. It may seem as if Nancy is passing the torch for solo shows onto her son Michael, but he is pacing himself with his career too. As many collectors know, his paintings are very popular and difficult to acquire for their collections.

Artist reception and sale is from 5 pm to 8 pm at the gallery, located in the lobby of the Hilton Resort and Spa in Whistler – both O'Toole's will be present. Exhibition is open to the public; admission is free.
