We are excited to welcome emerging artist Angela Dallago to the Adele Campbell Gallery!
Angela, a largely self-taught artist, has spent the last six years developing and perfecting her unusual abstract painting style. Known as the fluid type or pouring type technique, layers and layers of acrylic paint are poured onto board and manipulated by the artist by tilting the board, blowing, using her hands, and even a blowtorch (!) until the desired effect is created. The process can be intense, physical and extremely messy, but the resulting large-scale pieces are mesmerizing and dramatic: a kaleidoscope of colour suggestive of shimmering, crashing waves or iridescent oil slicks.
Born in Cornwall, Ontario in 1978, Angela has now been a Whistler-local for 15 years. Her home is her studio, which she shares with her husband and two young children.
